Do all Topo models fit the same?
All Topos are designed with the same distinctive fit- secure through the heel and mid foot with a generous toe box. Every model has been designed with a unique function in mind, and as such, may offer a different fit and feel. Check out our Men's Collection and Women's Collection to explore the different product offerings and related product specs. If you are not having any luck with our product specs section, please do not hesitate to call our customer service team at 1-888-994-9750 We would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Do Topos run “true to size”?
Topos are ergonomically designed to follow the natural shape of the foot- secure through the mid-foot and heel, with plenty of room for the toes to spread. Many people are comfortable wearing Topos in 1/2 a size larger than their typical street shoe size. So for example, if you typically wear a size 10, you may wish to purchase Topos in a 10 1/2. If you purchase a shoe that does not fit, don't worry, size exchanges are always free of charge!

Complete the return form located on the reverse side of your packing list included in your original shipment. (Items marked as “Final Sale” are not eligible for refund or exchange). There is a prepaid shipping label on your packing list.
Shipping is FREE for returns and exchanges when using the Topo UPS prepaid label provided to U.S. customers. Canadian customers will be responsible for shipping charges for returns.
Purchases made through an authorized dealer
If you did not make your purchase through our website, we are unable to accept returns for fit, style or size reasons. But our dealers are good people, so we’re pretty sure if you go back to them they’ll try to make it right.

The nitty gritty
Any refunds for returned product will be processed to the original method of payment. If you have requested an exchange as part of your return, your original form of payment will be charged or refunded for any difference in price between your original purchase price and the requested item. Any exchange requests for items of greater value than your original order must be initiated through a new order.
Returns for size, fit and style must have no visible signs of wear or alteration. If we determine, at our sole discretion, that an item has been worn or altered, it will no longer be eligible for refund or exchange.
Please allow 7-10 days for your refund and/or exchange to be processed.

What are my shipping options?
For shipping within the United States, we are pleased to offer overnight, 2nd day, and standard ground shipping.
- UPS Ground (3-7 business days): $5
- Second Day Air (2 business days): $20
- Next Day Air (1 business day): $40
For shipping to Canada, we offer shipping via USPS for a flat fee of $25.00. Consumers will be responsible for paying all duties, taxes and importing fees. Shipping time frames are expected to be 5 to 10 business days.

Orders received by 2:30 p.m. EST (11:30 a.m. PST) will ship the same day. Any orders received after 2:30 p.m. EST (11:30 PST) will ship the following day.
I’ve received my Topos but they don’t fit. How do I exchange them for a new size?
If you ordered your Topos from Topoathletic.com, you have received a return/exchange form in your order. Please fill this out and include it in your return shipment. All returned product must be shipped to:

At this time, Topo is able to ship to all 50 United States, and Canada.

Do you have any recommendations for alternate lacing options?
Anyone who has tried Topo Athletic knows that our shoes offer a distinct fit. Topo designs footwear around the natural shape of the foot, which to us means plenty of room for the toes to spread and a secure mid-foot and heel. In order to get an even better fit for your foot type, lacing offers a way to further customize. Check out our recommended lacing options below!
For most people, the standard comfort fit method feels natural. This is the way most shoes come pre-laced. To lace your shoe with this method, lace normally, feeding the lace through all standard eyelets.
Do you tend to feel unnatural pressure in the mid-foot with a traditional lacing method? Someone with a high instep sits higher in a shoe than someone with a lower instep and may find the high instep lacing method a good option. Give your mid-foot additional room by skipping the cross over lacing in the middle section of the shoe.
For someone with a wider forefoot, the traditional crossover pattern at the bottom of the shoe may add unwanted pressure. To alleviate this, one can give the forefoot additional room by skipping the cross over lacing on the bottom section of the shoe.
For someone with a slimmer ankle or heel, there are a couple of options to create a feeling of additional security. This first method is called the Lace Lock. For this method, create a loop through the top two eyelets on each side of the shoe. Then feed the opposite laces through the loops and pull tight to create additional security around the heel.
Option 2 for Optimal Heel Security
The other option to help with heel slipping is a lacing option available on the Topo MT which features a third eyelet closer to the back of the ankle. Lacing with this eyelet allows for a more snug fit around the heel. To achieve this fit, feed the lace through the further back option instead of the upper most eyelet and tie as normal.

Do I have to run a certain way in Topos?
All Topo models are designed with little or no heel-to-toe drop. We believe that this encourages proper loading and weight distribution during the gait cycle, resulting in a more natural, efficient stride. This does not mean that you have to change the way you run. However, we believe that all runners can benefit from natural running form, regardless of footwear. This means: running in a way that emphasizes tall posture, loading under your center of gravity, and slightly leaning at the ankles.
Of course there’s more to it than that! That is why we partnered with a premier resource for running form and mechanics called ACU Running. Do Topos contain latex or animal products?
Topo Athletic does not use any latex or animal products in the materials or adhesives of its footwear.
Are Topos waterproof?
We offer a single waterproof shoe at this time. The Hydroventure is our first ever waterproof trail running shoe, which we released in early 2016. Using eVent fabrics DVdryLT, our team engineered the lightest waterproof trail running shoe on the market today! All other Topos are designed to be lightweight and breathable, using airy mesh materials that are not waterproof.
Shoe Care & Maintenance
Clean excess mud/ dirt off with a damp sponge. On occasion, the shoes can be machine washed with cold water on a gentle cycle with a towel or workout clothing to help reduce vibration and impact. To dry, stuff the inside of the shoes with crumbled white paper to help absorb moisture and maintain shape. Air dry at room temperature. Do not dry the shoes by a fire, radiator, or other heat source. Extreme, direct heat can cause bonding agents to fail or materials to lose their functional properties.

How do I use my Boa® Closure System?
Weather resistance, single hand operation, and micro-adjustability are a few of the reasons why we think you'll love your Boa® Closure System. For best results, follow the instructions below and, for more tips and tricks, watch our Boa® Closure System video.
1) To loosen the lace cable, pull the Boa reel out, away from the shoe until you hear the reel “pop.”
2) Pull both sides of the “throat” opening evenly and away from the tongue until lace cable is loose enough to slide your foot insde the shoe.
3) With foot inside, push the reel toward the shoe. You will hear the reel "snap" into place. Turn reel clockwise to adjust tightness, producing a clicking sound as the cable is tightened equally from both sides. Flex your foot while tightening to find the ideal fit.

Topo Ambassador Program
When and where do I apply to be a Topo Ambassador?
Our open call for 2017 Ambassador applications begins October 14, 2016 and closes on November 7, 2016, at which point a link to our application will be updated on our website and all social media channels. If you miss the application window, you may contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, however, we can only consider your application if there are reamining open spots in the program.
Who can apply to become a Topo Athletic Ambassador?
Anyone who is a fan of Topo Athletic can apply to be an ambassador. You don’t need to be an elite or professional athlete to apply. We are simply looking for athletes who identify with our company mission, use our shoes regularly as part of their healthy and active lifestyle, and are comfortable with sharing their positive Topo experiences with their broader communities.
Does Topo Athletic sponsor athletes?

How long does the Topo Ambassador program last?
We ask that all ambassadors commit to the program for one calendar year. All ambassadorships end on Dec. 31 regardless of when you were accepted to the program.
If I am already a Topo ambassador, do I have to reapply each year?
All ambassadors interested in extending their ambassadorship through the next calendar year are required to reapply.
How will I know if I am selected to be an ambassador?
Selected ambassadors will be notified by November 21, 2016. Unfortunately, due to the large quantity of applicants, we are not able to contact everyone who applies.
